Pond Doctors offers two products, each in its own right effective at bringing clarity to ponds. Each product, however, goes about accomplishing that task in different ways.

The first product we introduced that clarifies was our pond sealant DB-100, which is primarily recommended to treat leaks and see pages in ponds. It is also, however, recommended as a clarifier. Because it is made up of special electrically charged long-chain molecules, when added to water its molecules swell to approximately 500 times their size. Due to DB-100’s minute electrical charge and agglomorating character it collects suspended particulate material in the water and then sinks to the bottom of the pond.

The beautiful thing about DB-100’s clarifying character is that it uses the particulate suspended in the pond’s water to help plug the leaks that may be present. It’s like liquid repair for a car radiator with small leaks, but with a clarifying affect. DB-100 is nontoxic and does not harm pets, plants or fish. DB-100 is easy to use with existing ponds. Applying TB-300 “color” to inhibit algae growth and beautify a pond.

An entirely different approach to pond water clarification attacks the growth or presence of algae. For this we recommend the use of our special and highly concentrated water dye, “True Blue” or TB-300. Because algae requires sunlight, by simply reducing the amount of light that is able to penetrate through the water, algae is not able to reproduce as effectively. Your pond’s water stays clearer, aquatic life is healthier and the pond’s color is a more vibrant blue. With Pond Doctors’ special “True Blue” is so concentrate, just a little goes a long way.
